An emotional evening, Bruins claim victory
It was an evening of mixed emotions Sunday, as the Norway House Bruins secured a 5-3 victory over the Canoe Lake Young Guns at Prince Albert’s fifth annual Senator’s Cup.
The teams faced off in an action-packed finish to the series that had both teams digging deep until the final seconds of the game.
Although it was a terrific night of high-paced hockey action, it was also an evening of great tragedy. Shortly before puck drop, it was announced a young child had been struck and killed by a vehicle, only metres away from the front entrance of the Art Hauser Centre.
