RCMP in Big River are reminding people not to drink and ride after issuing tickets for open liquor.
Police and conservation officers were conducting routine snowmobile patrols in the Big River area Saturday when the tickets were issued. Both charges of having open liquor under the Saskatchewan Alcohol Gaming and Regulations Act carry a fine of $250 each.
RCMP are reminding the public to obey provincial laws and regulations while snowmobiling on the Saskatchewan provincial trail system. Riders are also reminded that every snowmobile must be registered and operators need an approved helmet and valid drivers’ license.
