Flood risk low as temperatures warm
The winter has been a long and cold one for Prince Albert and the area.
It now appears the cold weather is behind us and spring is right around the corner. While the area received a large amount of snow over the season, staff at the Water Security Agency say there are no flooding concerns as the spring melt comes.
“You’re not necessarily seeing any flooding conditions, but of course a lot of that will be dependent on how much moisture we continue to get through the end of this winter season and into the spring period,” Ron Podbielski, manager of communications and strategic issues for the Water Security Agency, said.
