A Prince Albert woman, reported missing last weekend, has still not been heard from and friends and family are concerned for her safety.
Danesha Clarke, 28, was reported missing on Sunday, March 10, and was last seen the previous Friday. Joezy Bean, who dated Clarke for a few weeks, said she told him she was travelling to Saskatoon to help some friends move. A Facetime chat Friday evening suggested she was not lying.
“I could see the house in the background was empty, like all the shower curtains were down and stuff like that so I could see she was helping people move,” he said.
The next day Clarke stopped replying to Bean’s messages, and posts he called alarming showed up on Clarke’s Facebook page, suggesting she may have had a run-in with some bad people. Bean, who saw the posts, said he knew Clarke owed people money.
“She kept mentioning how she owed somebody money and they were getting her welfare cheque,” he said. “I said how much money and she said $1,500.”
Bean said he received stranger news on Sunday. He noticed Clarke, whom he met through a dating app, showed up on the same site again under a different username, and was listed as residing in Saskatoon.
Kristy Luciano, Clarke’s sister-in-law, told paNOW Clarke was supposed to come see her on her birthday, March 7, but never showed up.
“She was having a hard time with food and clothes. I’m not sure who she was staying with. I’m worried for her,” she said.
Sgt. Travis Willie, with the Prince Albert Police Service, told paNOW the police service was monitoring social media and as of Wednesday, Clarke was not found.
“Police are again asking the public for their assistance and to report any information regarding Danesha’s present location to the Prince Albert Police Service or Crime Stoppers,” he said.
