Currently riding a three-game shutout streak, Raiders goaltender Ian Scott was named the WHL Eli Wilson Goaltending Goaltender of the Week for the fourth time this season.

Scott went 3-0-0-0 in three games against the Swift Current Broncos, stopping all 52 shots faced for the Raiders who have now clinched the Scotty Munro Trophy as WHL regular season champions.

The Calgary, Alta. product now sits first all-time in Raider franchise history with eight shutouts in a single season, surpassing the previous mark of six shared by Luke Siemens [2012-13] and Rejean Beauchemin [2003-04].

He also set a new franchise mark on Sunday as he surpassed Craig Hordal’s record for consecutive scoreless minutes. Hordal shut the door for 128:32 during the 1995-96 season, while Scott’s shutout streak is currently at 180:00 and counting. The league record is 265:13, set by Flin Flon Bomber netminder Chris Worthy in 1968.

It’s been a momentous season for Scott as he was selected as one of two goaltenders to represent Team Canada at the 2019 World Junior Championships, and signed an entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs in December after being selected 110th overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

Scott currently sits second to Everett’s Dustin Wolf in GAA [1.82], save percentage [0.932], and wins [37] while leading the league in shutouts with eight.

The Raiders conclude the regular season schedule this weekend with a home-and-home set against Saskatoon, wrapping up Saturday at the Art Hauser Centre.
