Huge success for Prince Albert Sharks swimming Club

A swimmer with the Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club returned from a Regina swim meet with first place in all her events.

Joy Friesen came first in all four events she competed in at the RMSC Masters swim meet held in Regina Saturday.

“Congratulations, Joy, for the great performance !” said head coach Hazem Hussein.

Joy competed with other swimmers from Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta. She came first in the 400-metre and 800-metre freestyle and the 50-metre and 200-metre backstroke events.

Friesen also broke the provincial record in the 25-metre backstroke, beating a mark that had stood for 20 years.

“Joy has worked hard in training in this season,” said Hussein. “The results she has achieved are down to her dedication and hard work. “We are pleased with our Masters swimmers results and performance.”

The Prince Albert Sharks Swim club offers a variety of programs to meet swimmers potentials and ambitions not only on the competitive level but also on the non-competitive level.

Prince Albert Sharks swim club accepts registrations throughout the year.
