Plenty of local talent among the SCMA nominees

The Saskatchewan Country Music Association has released the nominees for the 30th annual Saskatchewan Country Music Awards. There are over a dozen artists with a Prince Albert and region connection.

Among the stars with the most nominations are Tenille Arts and Lisa Moen who are both in line for an award in six categories including Female Artist of the Year, Fan’s Choice Entertainer of The Year, and Songwriter of the Year.

Lisa Moen is also nominated in six categories (Facebook/Lisa Moen)

The Hunter Brothers are nominated in five categories including Video of the Year.

No fewer than 14 different artists from our region are in the running for one of the prestigious awards in the following categories:

EA Rawlinson Center for the Arts (Prince Albert)

There are 31 categories in all. The 30th Anniversary awards weekend will be taking place April 12,13 and 14 in Saskatoon with the final awards being presented on the televised awards show the evening of April 13.
