Extreme cold warning blankets most of Saskatchewan

Wind chill values of -40 C are expected to develop as a cold arctic ridge settles over Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the northern half of the province and for the entire area between Meadow Lake south to Estevan.

The forecast calls for a high of -20 C Sunday with a windchill of -40 C in the morning; however, wind chill values are expected to moderate as temperatures increase.
