Laventure’s Team Alberta wins bronze over Team Sask at Canada Winter Games

Team Saskatchewan men’s hockey team came within one win of coming home with a medal from the Canada Winter Games in Red Deer Friday.

Team Sask, including Raiders prospects Nolan Allan and Logan Linklater, as well as Prince Albert’s Gabe Klassen, Marek Schneider, Ashton Ferster and Logan Cox lost to Alberta 12-0 on Friday to finish in fourth.

Raiders prospect Tyson Laventure won the bronze medal with Alberta. He scored in the game and finished the tournament with five goals.

Allan finished the tournament with four goals and seven points, Linklater with four goals, Klassen with two goals and two assists, Ferster with two goals and a helper, Cox with a goal and an assist and Schneider with no points.
