Team Saskatchewan is tied for fourth in their pool at the 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts after defeating Team Yukon 4-6 Wednesday morning.

The rink of Robyn Silvernagle is now 4-2 at the championship in Sydney, N.S.

The North Battleford-based rink opened the scoring in the second end with a single and held the lead throughout. Silvernagle was up 5-4 heading into the final end with the hammer and kept the house clear of Yukon rocks to notch a single point on the scoreboard.

Next up, the team faces Prince Edward Island (5-1) at 5:30 p.m.

P.E.I. enters the match on the back of a 15-5 win over Team Northwest Territories, cleaning up with six points in the eighth end in the early draw.

On neighbouring sheets, Team Canada and Jennifer Jones outplayed Newfoundland and Labrador 8-4, and Casey Scheidegger’s Wild Card Lethbridge rink secured a spot in the playoffs with a commanding 7-3 victory over New Brunswick.
