RCMP make arrests following incident in Christopher Lake

RCMP made several arrests in the community of Christopher Lake over the weekend after responding to reports of a serious incident.

Members of the RCMP Emergency Response Team responded to a call at a home in Christopher Lake on Sunday. Once the team gained access to the home, a search was conducted.

RCMP said in a release that further investigation by the Prince Albert Forensic Identification Section, the Prince Albert General Investigation Section and Major Crimes Unit North determined information about a serious incident was false.

Police say several people in the home, however; were arrested on outstanding warrants. Several area residents told paNOW over the weekend that there was a large police presence in the community for much of the day Sunday and into the evening.
