Teen facing charges

A 16-year-old boy has been charged following an incident in the Candle Lake area last week.

The youth, who cannot be identified, is facing charges of assault with a weapon and robbery in relation to the incident. RCMP say the youth was allegedly hitchhiking when he was picked up by a passing motorist last Friday. The youth allegedly tried to steal the vehicle.

The boy appeared in court Tuesday and is scheduled to be back in court Feb. 20 on the charges
