Three arrested, rifle seized over weekend
Prince Albert Police arrested three people and seized a loaded sawed-off rifle during a vehicle stop early Sunday morning.
Police officers on routine patrol stopped the vehicle in the 1500 block of Second Ave. W. just after 1 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle was found to be stolen and further investigation uncovered a loaded .22 calibre rifle.
A 25-year-old man from Saskatoon, and two men, aged 19 and 24 from the Beardy’s First Nation were arrested in the incident. The three are scheduled to appear in court in Prince Albert Monday morning on charges including possession of a stolen vehicle and firearms-related charges.
