Dec 11, 2018 | 11:13 AM

Another senior leadership position has been filled at city hall.

Ken Leclaire has taken the job of director of corporate services with the city. Leclaire started in the position earlier this month.

City Manager Jim Toye said Leclaire has experience working in both the public and private sector, including with companies such as Nutrien, Agrium and Mosaic.

“We’re looking forward to having him here,” Toye said. “We’re very glad to have him on board. He’s got some great success and great experience and it’s exactly what we need.”

The position has been vacant for the last year, with Toye overseeing the role as acting director. The role involves managing files in human resources, including union negotiations and collective bargaining, workplace safety and corporate communications.

“It’s a very busy portfolio with over 500 employees and a $42 million budget for staff, so it’s a very, very important part of our organization,” Toye added.
