Dairy Queen Chill come up short in Banff
The Prince Albert Midget AA Dairy Queen Chill came up just short at the 25th Banff Hockey Academy Christmas Challenge Cup. The tournament ran for three days from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.
The Chill finished third overall after round robin play. During the round robin portion of the tournament the Prince Albert based club played three close games.
The first game saw the Chill defeat the Southern Saskatchewan Prairie Storm 3-2. Aaron Campbell led the way in this game notching two assists and one goal.
Their next matchup was also a close one, with the Chill coming out on top by a score of 4-3 after a shootout against the Winnipeg Warriors. Laine Petreman notched the winning goal for his team in the shootout.
