Whitecaps still have belief, confidence after disappointing loss: coach
VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Whitecaps have one last shot at keeping their playoff hopes alive.
The Whitecaps will be in California on Sunday to face off against Los Angeles FC. A Vancouver victory could stave off elimination, at least temporarily. Any other result and the Whitecaps will officially be out of contention.
“We’re going to a tough spot away and we need this result,” said midfielder Russell Teibert after training this week. “But those are all things that are against us and that’s what’s going to make it better when you go in and have success and you’re in that fight. These are all things that motivate you and drive you on.”
The Whitecaps (12-13-7) are also looking to bounce back after a disappointing showing against Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday night.
