Police arrest man after woman threatened with gun

A 25-year-old man has been arrested following an incident in the city overnight in which a woman was allegedly threatened with a gun.
The man is facing six firearms-related charges in relation to the incident, which happened in the 1200 Block of 16th St. W. overnight. Police say the man is alleged to have threatened the woman with a gun and refused to let her leave the residence. Police said the suspect is known to them and is currently on court-ordered conditions prohibiting him from having weapons.
According to a media release from the Prince Albert Police Service, the man was found hiding in a hallway in the residence and a sawed-off rifle was also located. The man is expected to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
