Marauders boys pick up bronze at Carlton tournament

The St. Mary Marauders finished in third place at the senior boys high school volleyball tournament at Carlton this weekend.

The Marauders beat the Yorkton Raiders in straight sets 25-23, 26-24 to win the bronze medal match. In the semifinals, the Marauders narrowly fell to the eventual champion Swift Current Colts in three sets, 25-22, 16-25, 10-15.

The Colts went on to beat the Meadow Lake Spartans in straight sets in the finals. The hosting Crusaders fell in the quarterfinals to the Colts.
