Rawlinson Centre looking to recruit more volunteers
Staff at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre hope people with some free time will consider volunteering.
To help do this they will be hosting a volunteer barbecue Friday afternoon. The centre’s production manager Dannyll Challis told paNOW volunteers play an important role in helping the venue host events.
“Typical show, if we’re sold out, we’re looking at probably 12 to 14 ushers and ticket takers and that doesn’t include the potential for bartenders or any of the backstage people we may use depending on the needs of the show,” he said.
Challis said for a show with an audience of 600 people, a total of around 30 volunteers would be needed to help run the building.
