Have you seen the cement truck wrapped in a “Go Raiders Go” logo?  It’s huge and its awesome. Or how about the new LED signs completed at the PA Wand Wash?

It’s part of the great work done by Graham and Amanda Hodges and their team at Markit Signs in Prince Albert – winners of a BOB award in the ‘Best Sign Shop’ category.

“We’re one of the only local companies that can take on bigger projects from design to install; tackling bigger illuminated signage and large format wrapping.” said Graham

Markit opened in 2010 and operates with 7 employees. Graham had previous experience working as an installer with different sign companies in Winnipeg and Vancouver, and Amanda has an education background in Business and Finance. Together they compliment each other’s work.

“When we moved here, we saw an opportunity for a new sign shop,” said Amanda. “There was a huge learning curve in the first 3-5 years of business. Here we are in year 8, striving to meet the demand for large scale advertising and marketing, always considering how we can grow the business”

Now their work can be seen all over town and so can their commitment to the community.

“We do a ton of donations every year including sponsoring the Pine Needle Mountain Bike Festival, the recent World Junior Softball Championships, and numerous local sports teams,” said Amanda.  “It’s always important to give back to the community.”

About half of their business involves vehicle, bus and train wraps but they also install signs of all types, from custom LED channel letters to billboards. The also offer logo design and brand identity development among other services. They also have one 3M Preferred Installer on staff.
