New spray park opens in Crescent Acres
Families in the Crescent Acres area of Prince Albert will be able to beat the heat closer to home this summer with the opening of a new spray park in their neighbourhood.
The City of Prince Albert officially opened the new spray park Thursday. The new facility is located on Olive Diefenbaker Drive, next to the Crescent Acres Community Club, between the outdoor skating rink and ball diamond number three.
With the hot weather returning after recent rains, dozens of young children were eager to test the waters Thursday. Chad Mogg, vice-president with the Crescent Acres Community Club, said residents and children are excited to see the new facility open.
“I know there are other spray parks in the city, but it’s nice to have something we can just walk to within a couple blocks,” Mogg said. “It’s going to be quite the experience, they’re probably going to make a ton of friends this summer, so I’m pretty happy with it.”
