Toronto FC waives little-used Argentine, opens up international roster spot
Toronto FC has waived little-used midfielder Mariano Mino, opening up an international spot on its roster.
The 24-year-old Argentine made just one appearance for the MLS champions and was an unused substitute 10 times after signing a first-team contract April 20. He played 25 minutes in Toronto’s 5-1 loss at Houston on April 21, when TFC fielded a reserve side ahead of the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions League final.
He made five appearances for Toronto FC 2 of the USL this season after coming on loan from Uruguay’s Sud America on March 15.
Mino, who was making US$54,500 at TFC, also played for Boca Unidos, a second-division Argentine side.
