Pinehouse Lake RCMP arrest 4 in drug investigation

Four people have been arrested for possession of a controlled substance after an investigation conducted by Pinehouse Lake RCMP.

Dalton Hansen, Donovan J. Misponas, Kenneth G. Misponas and Cordarryl J. Smith all face possession of methamphetamine charges. They were arrested on June 20.

According to Sgt. Charles Cooke with Pinehouse Lake RCMP, 1.6 grams of methamphetamine along with a small amount of a substance suspected to be cocaine were seized.

Police worked in conjunction with conservation officers as part of the newly minted Protection and Response Team, implemented by the province earlier this year.

“They’re eager to help us and we help them. It’s going to be a great relationship I think,” Cooke said of the Protection and Response Team.

All four are set to appear in Pinehouse Provincial Court on July 11 at 10:00 a.m. according to a release issued by the RCMP.
