A man is in Victoria Hospital after falling from the city’s train bridge Thursday, according to police.
Police said bystanders saw the 36-year-old man fall into the river just before noon Thursday and called 911. Both city police and the RCMP responded to the call, along with the Prince Albert Fire Department. Police said the man was pulled from the river at 11:48 a.m. and was taken to hospital by paramedics from Parkland Ambulance.
Members of the RCMP were on the river Thursday morning for a training session, and the Prince Albert Fire Department said they were able to respond quickly.
Police said the matter is not criminal and won’t be investigated further.
