P.A. Chamber announces new CEO

Jun 5, 2018 | 12:00 PM

The Prince Albert and District Chamber of Commerce has appointed Elise Hildebrandt as their new CEO.

The chamber made the announcement this week, saying Hildebrandt has a range of experience in business and community development, along with 20 years’ experience in the financial sector. In a statement accompanying the announcement, the chamber said Hildebrandt has been active with non-profit and community associations and has significant knowledge of Chamber operations and development.

“We are ecstatic to have Elise as our new CEO,” Board Chair Meghan Mayer said in a statement. “She comes with an extensive background of experience in working with chambers and a wealth of business knowledge. We are confident she’s an excellent fit for the Prince Albert Chamber of Commerce.”

Hildebrandt said she is looking forward to working with the local business community.

“I think this is an exciting time for the Prince Albert and district businesses, board of directors, myself and chamber staff,” Hildebrandt said. “We have a chance to review our goals and start to shape what we want the future of the business community to look like.”

Hildebrandt said she plans to work closely with local businesses and the community as a whole.

“I believe the Chamber is about keeping the business community engaged via education, advocacy, and networking,” she said. “It’s recognizing and acknowledging each other’s business accomplishments and at the end of the day making sure our business voice is heard.”

Hildebrandt replaces ousted CEO Kelvin Pankiw, who was dismissed from the position in March after just two months on the job.
