Today marks the one-year anniversary of a La Ronge woman’s disappearance.

Happy Charles was last seen in Prince Albert on April 3, 2017 near PACI High School. Prince Albert Police said detectives with their Criminal Investigation Division and several partner agencies have been investigating leads since Charles’ disappearance and continue to do so. Charles was also added to the national missing person database, police said.

Speaking to paNOW during their extensive search efforts last year, Charles’ family said they were not giving up hope. Members of her family also traveled to Regina to address commissioners of the national inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

Happy Charles was described as 5’3” tall, weighing roughly 112 lbs with brown hair and eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Prince Albert Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
