A former Prince Albert Raiders captain was inducted into the University of Manitoba Bisons Hockey Hall of Fame in Winnipeg on Wednesday night.

Bob Lowes, the eleventh captain in Raiders history back in the 1981-82 season, will have a plaque enshrining him in the Bisons’ home rink of the Max Bell centre.

Lowes was with his hometown Raiders for three years in the team’s SJHL days from 1979-82. They won the SJHL and Anavet Cup titles in all three of those years, as well as the Centennial Cup in the final two.

Lowes was also on the Raiders’ inaugural WHL season in 1982-83 before getting traded to the Regina Pats later that year.
