Radisson farmer elected Chair of Sask Wheat
For the first time in its nearly five year history, the Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission has a female chair.
Laura Reiter, who farms near Radisson, was elected on Jan. 12.
“I am very honoured to be elected by the guys on the board of directors and I am very excited about what’s coming up for the year,” she said.
The commission, established in 2013, is a producer led organization that works to help grow the province’s wheat industry. Reiter was first elected to the board of directors in January of 2014 and has for the past two years chaired the research committee.
