Driver arrested for stolen vehicle after stopping at green light
Police arrested one man and seized a stolen vehicle yesterday after police came across a driver who stopped in the middle of an intersection.
Around 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, the Prince Albert Police located a suspicious grey car with tinted windows on Second Ave. and 28 Street W. The vehicle was stopped in the middle of an intersection and the driver wasn’t proceeding for a green light.
An officer pulled behind the vehicle which started driving westbound. The officer activated the emergency lights and sirens for a traffic stop to check the vehicle’s registration.
During the stop, police determined the vehicle was stolen and arrested the driver.
