P.A.’s Morrison named SJHL D-man of the week
It didn’t take long for Lochlan Morrison to make an impact at the Junior A level. On Tuesday night, Prince Albert’s Morrison was named the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Defenceman of the Week Award.
Morrison has had a red hot start to the season, scoring four points in five games on the 5-0-0-0 Melfort Mustangs squad. The Mustangs are the last remaining SJHL team yet to have lost a game.
Morrison’s lone goal was an overtime winner on opening day to beat the Nipawin Hawks 3-2 on Sept. 15.
He’s playing his 20-year-old year with the Mustangs. He finished last year with the Victoria Royals, after being exchanged from his hometown Prince Albert Raiders in the Brayden Pachal deal.
