Wishmaker is a walk that people of all ages can enjoy. It has grown into an anticipated community event followed by a
celebration including food, entertainment and prizes. The walk’s unique structure attracts families, community groups,
corporate teams, sponsors and media.

Since 2005, generous supporters have made it possible for Wishmaker to raise over $11 million nationwide. Last year,
Wishmaker Walk raised over $550,000 across Canada allowing us to grant approximately 70 wishes nationally.

Children’s Wish has granted nearly 25,000 exceptional wishes since its inception in 1984. With the help from volunteers
and generous donors, the Foundation has been able to grant nearly three wishes each day and is proud to have never
refused an eligible child their most heartfelt wish. This year, Children’s Wish expects to grant over 1,000 new wishes to
children living with a life threatening illness.

Behind many wish stories is a child dealing with days of pain and uncertainty; days where sporting events, sleepovers,
and music recitals have been replaced with treatments, hospital visits and needles. Every wish provides a special child
with more than just an escape from the harsh realities of dealing with illness. A Wish can breed hope and strength, it
fosters laughter and memories, a wish can change the life of a child forever.

The proceeds from the walk will help turn dreams into reality. In one wonderful act of generosity, compassion and
thoughtfulness you can make a difference.

We are also looking for those wishing to make a donation to be used in the silent auction, draws or prizes for the 2017 Wishmaker Walk. In return for your donation you would receive an official income tax receipt. We will be
coming around to collect donations closer to the event day. If you would like to be a part of this great cause please call
or email myself, Dorthy Moore, and I will arrange pick up or discuss other donation options.
