Call for eviction leads to charges for two

An eviction call turned into charges for firearm and drug related offences last Friday.

On Sept. 22 Prince Albert Police responded to a home on the 1600 block of 17 Street W. for an eviction. Inside the home, police located a loaded 22 calibre rifle and arrested the man in possession of it.

A female in possession of methamphetamine was also taken into custody.

A 24-year-old Wahpeton man was charged with six firearm related charges including breaching his court order. He will make his first court appearance on Sept. 25 in Prince Albert Provincial Court.

A 23-year-old woman from Prince Albert was charged with possession of methamphetamine. She was released and will make her first court appearance next month in Prince Albert Provincial Court.
