Classes at La Loche Dene High School and the nearby Ducharme Elementary School have been cancelled today due to a threat of another shooting.
The threat came three days before the one-year anniversary which saw a 17-year-old youth open fire at the school after killing two people at a separate location. The school shooting killed two and injured seven others.
La Loche RCMP received a complaint of the threat on Thursday, Jan. 19 according to a media release.
“The threat was general in nature and no one person was identified or targeted in it,” the release said.
