Grief following the loss of a loved one is never easy and can take on many different forms. This is why Beau “Lac” Funeral Home focuses on compassionate and unique care while assisting you with every aspect of the service.

No funeral is the same since they reflect unique individuals, which funeral director Marianne Turcotte and her compassionate and attentive staff understands.

“There’s no one form of grief,” Turcotte says.

She’s the manager and co-owner of the Prince Albert branch of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, which opened in 2013. They are an important part of the Beau “Lac” family, who also have funeral homes in Big River, Shellbrook and Spiritwood.

Across all three locations, their goal is to serve the unique needs of every family to create a meaningful tribute to a lost loved one.

“We take families step-by-step through the planning, from the first time they step through our door right through to the day of the funeral,” Turcotte says. “It is about going above and beyond, exceeding people’s expectations and providing the personal touch.”

She says clients can sometimes be intimidated by making funeral arrangements. “It’s a scary place to come in a time of need. They’re feeling extremely vulnerable and we’re proud to offer a comfortable atmosphere for families.”

Whether it’s picking a date for the service or choosing a venue which has a special meaning to your family, the knowledgeable staff will guide in the right direction to find exactly what you’re looking for.

“Funerals are a time for compassion,” Turcotte says, “and we believe putting the focus on comforting the family and honoring the loved one is of utmost importance.”

The legacy of the Beau “Lac” Funeral business began in 1994 when George and Delores Beaulac achieved their dream of opening their first funeral home in Spiritwood. From there the family and the business expanded to Big River and Shellbrook.

They’re proud of their heritage as a family owned and operated funeral home, providing the highest quality services and facilities.

Turcotte says she was drawn to working with the Beaulac’s by their compassion and dedication to families.

“Everything we do is about helping a family in any way they need and I was inspired by how touching and caring the Beaulac’s were,” she says.

Pre-arrangements have become an increasingly popular option to alleviate any of the questions, problems or differences which can happen when planning a service. Turcotte says they’re fully prepared to help families prepare and arrangements can be made in the comfort of your home or their office.

In recent thank-you cards Turcotte has received, the compliment she hears the most is how sympathetic and caring her staff were.

“We offer a complete focus on taking care of families,” Turcotte said. “Our number one goal is that the families come first. It is not necessarily about having an elaborate facility but more what happens inside of it and the feeling people leave with.”
