Dec 20, 2016 | 12:45 PM

UPDATE: Highway 55 has re-opened after a multi-car collision near the airport.

At least two cars, one being a semi-truck, were involved in a significant crash on Highway 55 near the Prince Albert airport.

The semi-truck driver said the black Honda pulled a u-turn in front of him, and he was unable to stop in time.

According to Parkland Ambulance’s Twitter page, two people are injured. Both are in hospital in stable condition.

Police Sgt. Travis Willie said the injuries sustained do not appear to be life-threatening, and police remain on the scene to investigate.

Willie said eastbound traffic is being re-routed to Cloverdale Rd. and westbound traffic is being re-routed along the pulp haul road. Drivers are asked to be patient as delays are expected, Willie said.
