Bear spray episode clears apartment block

Dec 7, 2016 | 6:41 AM

A suspected bear spray incident left some residents out in the cold last night.

Prince Albert Firefighters got a call about an unknown odor coming from an apartment building in the 300 block of 32nd St. W. just before 6 p.m., Tuesday night.

When crews arrived, they determined the smell could have come from bear repellant sprayed in a hallway. The building was, then, partially evacuated.

Some residents were out of their apartments for roughly forty minutes while firefighters ventilated the building.
