UPDATE: Precautionary drinking water advisory over in rural areas

Nov 5, 2016 | 9:13 PM

UPDATE: The precautionary drinking water advisory has been lifted for the RM’s of Prince Albert and Duck Lake.

The system has been flushed and test samples have returned acceptable results, according to the Prince Albert Rural Water Utility.

A precautionary drinking water advisory has been instituted by the Prince Albert Rural Water Utility.

Ken Danger with the utility said it affects users of the South Line, including the R.M.’s of Prince Albert and Duck Lake.

The current advisory is due to a depressurization of the water lines while they undergo repairs.

According to Danger the City of P.A. has a leak in their line which is affecting the Rural Water Utility.

It will remain in place until repairs are completed and water tests return within regulatory limits.

He encouraged houses to conserve any water they may have given the unknown end date of the advisory.

The most recent water advisory was on Oct. 18 in the R.M. of Buckland after an issue with a water line.
