Saskatchewan Roughriders unveil new uniforms for 2016
The Saskatchewan Roughriders unveiled their new team jerseys today, May 12.
Sports apparel giant adidas took over the design of CFL jerseys, and the Riders’ uniforms underwent some significant changes.
The black trim around the numbers on the jerseys has been removed, giving the jerseys a simpler, one-colour look. The word “Saskatchewan” above the number on the front of the jersey has been bumped up in size, as the Riders said they want to proudly display their home province.
The jersey’s shoulders now feature a new Riders logo, while the numbers have been removed. The small Roughriders logo below the numbers on the back of the jersey has also been removed.
