P.A.’s Lehner finished fifth at CIS nationals

Prince Albert’s Katelyn Lehner can say she’s a top five athlete in Canada.

Lehner finished fifth in the pentathlon at the 2016 CIS Track and Field Championships at York University on Thursday, March 10.

As a third-year athlete with the University of Calgary Dinos track and field team, Lehner scored 3,649 points in the five-event pentathlon.

She finished second in the 60-metre hurdles with a time of 8.62 and a five-way tie for second place with a jump of 1.64 metres. Lehner also finished fifth in both the shot put and 800-metre, and ninth in the long jump.
