Snow-covered highways claim 1 life near Saskatoon

Nov 25, 2015 | 5:21 AM

Poor road conditions were the likely cause of a fatal crash on Highway 14, just west of Saskatoon Tuesday evening.

At the time, every highway out of the city was listed as not recommended for travel by the province’s highway hotline.

A pickup truck turned onto the highway from a grid road, and into the path of a semi just after 6:30p.m, RCMP said.

A male passenger in the pickup died at the scene, while the driver and another passenger were injured.
