Marauders boys volleyball team wins provincial gold; girls win bronze

The St. Mary Marauders senior boys volleyball team was dominant on their way to gold at the 5A SHSAA Provincial Volleyball Championships this weekend in Swift Current.

The Marauders didn’t drop a set in any of the seven games they played in the tournament Friday and Saturday. On championship Saturday, they beat Saskatoon Centennial in straight sets 25-18, 25-21 to capture their 10^th provincial title and 18^th medal since 1994. The Marauders boys also won silver medals last year and in 2013.

The Marauders finished the season with a stellar 60-2 record and did not lose a game or a set to another team in Saskatchewan all season long.

The Marauders senior girls volleyball team picked up a bronze medal at their provincials in Martensville. They beat the Carlton Crusaders in three sets 25-13, 22-25, 25-21 in the bronze medal game.
