Icehawks pile on goals against Thunder; now have top two scorers

The Prince Albert Icehawks were in a goal scoring mood on Sunday, as they piled on double-digit goals to beat the Ochapowace Thunder 12-6 at the Kinsmen.

Brendon Boyer had a goal and four points for the Icehawks while captain Jack Green had a hat trick. With their big nights, Boyer and Green are now ranked first and second respectively in the Prairie Junior Hockey League in points.

Boyer is the first player to reach the 40-point mark, currently at 42, while Green is in a four-way tie for second in scoring with 39 points. Green leads the league in goals with 22.

Boyer’s older brother Brett Boyer had a goal and five-points, Zach Rossignol had two goals and four points, and Nick Patrick had a goal and three assists.
