1 dead, 6 in hospital after fatal rollover near Debden

A 24-year-old man is dead after a vehicle rollover Friday night.

The fatal collision happened at 7:40 p.m., on Highway 55, approximately 15 km north of Debden. Six passengers were also sent to hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Both lanes of the highway were closed for some time but have since reopened. 

Big River RCMP arrested the driver of the vehicle at the scene. Speed and alcohol were considered a factor.
