Weather may be the cause for second fatal Saskatchewan chopper crash
KINLEY, Sask. — Weather may be to blame for Tuesday night’s helicopter crash that took the life of a 48-year-old man from the Calgary area.
The pilot was also the lone occupant in the helicopter travelling from Calgary to Saskatoon when it crashed in a field near the town of Kinley.
Transport Canada says the pilot was reporting that he was entering severe icing before the chopper lost contact with radar.
Police say there were no homes or buildings near the crash site.
