Man who shot at RCMP on Red Earth First Nation facing charges

A 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after an incident on Red Earth First Nation on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Mario Whitehead from Red Earth First Nation is facing 11 charges including discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life, attempted murder and assault.
Carrot River RCMP were initially dispatched to the reserve for a complaint of an assault.
Whitehead was found outside a home holding a long barreled gun. He then proceeded to shoot at the arriving police vehicle.
