The Jail-N-Bail® Countdown

Oct 19, 2015 | 8:45 AM

Just days remain to see someone you “care” about behind bars and wearing orange – all for a good cause.

Prince Albert, if you want your boss, co-worker or friend to go before a judge for those ‘crimes’ that drive you crazy, that time is here!

The Canadian Cancer Society’s Jail-N-Bail in Prince Albert will be held for the 26th year at the Gateway Mall on Thursday Oct.22.

Every year we get a great response from the community.  This is a fun event where people have some prank like fun and help raise funds in the fight against cancer.  We’ve seen lots of office crimes reported over the years but we know Prince Albert has many more shady characters who may need some time in the slammer!

Jail-N-Bail is a fundraising event that involves putting otherwise respectable citizens in a special jail, and giving them the opportunity to raise pledges or ‘bail’ from their co-workers, friends and family.  Last year our ‘jailbirds’ raised over $16,000!

In addition to those who get ‘snitched’ on, Prince Albert also has its ‘most wanted’. This year be on the lookout for:

  • Ian Dickson – may be calling himself Dracula – from Odyssey Production’s upcoming play
  • Dave Towers – now retired and we’ve finally caught up to him!
  • Nora Vedress – from the United Calvary Church
  • Chris West – from the P.A. Exhibition Centre
  • Chrissy Halliday – from Frank Dunn Toyota

People are invited to visit www.jailnbail.ca to view the ‘Most Wanted’s mug shots and their charges or to help them raise bail.  Everyone is also invited to come down to the Gateway Mall on Thursday to check out the fun!

Every citizen can arrange for the arrest of their boss, co-worker, friend or family member. To arrange for an arrest or for more information, visit jailnbail.ca or:
