Icehawks lose in a shootout to Westleys
The Prince Albert Icehawks piled on 66 shots on the Saskatoon Westleys goal Saturday at the Kinsmen, but couldn’t come up with the ‘W.’
The Icehawks will have to settle for the single point they earned in a 4-3 shootout loss instead. Their record is 2-2-0-1 on the year.
Westleys goalie Spencer Bomboir made a whopping 63 saves through 65 minutes, including another three in the shootout.
The only player to score in the three-round shootout was Tanner LeSann, who played 195 games with the Swift Current Broncos in the last three seasons. LeSann also scored a goal and added an assist in regulation time. Drue Allison had a goal and two assists for the Westleys.
