Prince Albert honours fallen soldiers with parade

Downtown Prince Albert came to a standstill as the Royal Canadian Legion, Saskatchewan Provincial Command, honoured their fallen comrades.

It began with a parade starting on the corner of 13th St. and 1st St. E that marched down to the cenotaph in front of City Hall.

A cenotaph is a hollow monument erected for those whose remains lay elsewhere.

“This is a big part of the legion, part of our service,” said John Henderson, who served in the Canadian Airborne Regiment in World War II.
