Classic rock tribute show blends fantasy with reality
A unique twist on a classic rock tribute will hit the stage of the E.A. Rawlinson Centre Wednesday, Oct. 7.
The cast of Dreams: A Classic Rock Fantasy set out from Winkler, Man. on a 13-city Western Canadian tour Sept. 30 and have a couple shows under their belt. Prince Albert will be the first Saskatchewan tour stop.
The show stars Julie C. Myers as Stevie Nicks. She co-wrote the show with Martin D. Andrew, who plays Rod Stewart in the production. Myers emphasized the show isn’t about Stevie Nicks or any of the other classic rock stars being portrayed.
“We’re not telling anybody’s story except it’s very, very close to mine,” said Myers, “It was written with my father in mind who passed away of Alzheimer’s in 2007.
