Accused murderer and kidnapper remains behind bars

Jonas Budd will spend Thanksgiving in a jail cell.

He is the man accused of kidnapping a teenage girl and murdering her boyfriend last February on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.

The case was among the first on the docket Monday morning at La Ronge Provincial Court, and was adjourned to Nov. 9.

Budd is facing a charge of first degree murder in connection with the incident. He is also facing various weapons charges.
